The film 13 Going on 30 tells the story of Jenna Rink, a teenager who suddenly transforms into her 30-year-old self where she works as a magazine editor with great popularity.
The latest version will be directed by Brett Haley who recently directed the film People We Meet On Vacation which also stars Emily Bader. The script will be written by Hannah Marks and Flora Greeson.
"I'm a fan so to portray it again comes with a responsibility. Jennifer Garner joins as an executive producer, having joined a huge part of what made the original so special," Brett Haley said, quoted by Variety.
Haley's latest film, People We Met On Vacation, which was adapted from Emily Henry's book, was in the Netflix Top 10 for a month. He was also announced as the director of the series The 99'ers, a drama about the victory of the women's soccer team in 1999.
The 13 Going on 30 reboot is Emily Bader's latest project after People We Meet On Vacation and The 99'ers.
Logan Lerman also just starred in the film Oh, Hi! and joined the fifth season of the series Only Murders in the Building.
