JAKARTA - Ria Ricis has started to limit her activities in the entertainment world, especially for long-term projects. He admitted that he wanted to focus on accompanying the growth and development of his only daughter, Moana, who is now entering her golden age.
"This year I'm not taking a break again if I'm filming again because as we know the film is very tiring, the series is also very tiring, especially Moana is still a toddler. In the last series, Moana can be said to be less than the attention of her mother, so I don't want it to happen again," said Ricis in South Jakarta, Saturday, March 21.
He chose to work from home so that he could monitor his child's every activity directly. For him, a mother's presence in the growth period is very crucial.
"Especially in his golden age, he became a film and for all kinds of series this year, I'm less and less, I don't take it first. I want to focus on working from home so I can pick up and drop off school children, I can accompany the needs and lives of my children," he added.
Ricis realized that time cannot be turned back. He wants Moana to have beautiful memories of her childhood with her mother.
"That's right! Because now this is the golden age of Moana, it's going to be four years and there the memory is the strongest and I just want my child to build a good memory with his mother," said Ricis explaining the reason.
Although still very small, Moana apparently has started to be taught religious values, including fasting. Ricis told how the child's progress during Ramadan last month.
"From 30 days of fasting, Moana can only get three days. Thank God, those three days are sometimes at ten o'clock they ask for food, at twelve o'clock they ask for food. Yes, it's normal, it's still a three and a half year old child and it can't be forced, so slowly," he said with a smile.
Not only that, Ricis is also actively introducing Moana to various non-formal educational institutions from an early age to train her independence and social skills.
"Moana from the age of two he has entered a school in South Jakarta, one of the International Schools, and has been doing gymnastics since the age of six months. There are ballet lessons, English lessons, ball lessons, everything is there, thank God. It's still going on school," said Ricis.
The lesson about sharing has also been instilled. Ricis involves Moana directly when it comes to sorting toys to be donated to those in need.
"It was me and Moana who chose it because here Moana has her own room for toys and Moana, if she buys a new toy, the old toy must be given away. So all the toys we give to people are Moana's own choice," he said.
Ricis hopes that with all the efforts and attention he gives, Moana can grow into a good and happy person.
"He understands that fasting is to hold back thirst and hunger. Then he also understands that Ramadan this month, the reward is increased by Allah, he also understands and thank God, everything he understands slowly," he concluded proudly.
