JAKARTA - Awareness of a more environmentally friendly lifestyle is now growing. Not only at the individual level, but also in the industrial world. The concept of sustainable living encourages various parties to start thinking about how to use energy more wisely.
Renewable energy such as solar power is one of the options that are increasingly being looked at because it is able to reduce dependence on fossil fuels while reducing environmental impacts.
In everyday life, sustainable lifestyles actually start from simple habits, namely utilizing available resources without damaging the balance of nature. Starting from saving electricity at home, choosing more environmentally friendly products, to supporting the use of clean energy in various sectors.
This small habit is slowly shaping a more environmentally conscious lifestyle, and when done on a large scale, the impact can be felt on an industrial scale.
As awareness increases, the business world is also beginning to adapt. For many companies, energy efficiency is now not only an operational strategy, but also part of a sustainable lifestyle approach in running a business.
The industry is no longer only focused on product quality, but also on how the production process can run more in line with the environment.
This trend is also seen in Surabaya. In the midst of the dynamics of the industrial area, a production facility began to utilize solar energy through the installation of a rooftop Solar Power Plant (PLTS). The facility, which is located in the Romokalisari industrial area, inaugurated the operation of the system.
This step was taken by PT Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia, part of the Maspion Group which began integrating solar power systems in its production areas. This factory is known for producing glass tableware and drinking utensils. Its production process is also supported by modern technology and automatic glass machine lines.
"The inauguration of this PLTS is not only an addition to our electricity capacity, but also a manifestation of Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia's commitment to utilizing Renewable New Energy," said Susanto, Assistant Plant Manager of PT Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia, quoted from the official statement.
"Through PLTS technology, we hope to generate more environmentally friendly energy, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and support the national energy mix target. We also appreciate all parties who have collaborated so that this project can be completed smoothly and achieve zero accident," he continued.
He also added that this step towards energy transition is part of efforts to answer the challenges of modern industry which increasingly demands sustainable business practices.
The development and installation of the PLTS system is carried out through cooperation with a solar energy solution provider that focuses on Solar-as-a-Service services for the business and industrial sectors in Indonesia.
The selection of this partner is based on various considerations, ranging from solutions that can be adjusted to industry needs, the quality of the tested system, to the team's experience in handling large-scale solar energy projects.
Rheza Adhihusada, Founder & CEO of Suryanesia expressed his appreciation for the trust given.
"This collaboration is an important step in encouraging the use of clean energy in the industrial sector as well as supporting more efficient and sustainable operations," he concluded.
"We also appreciate the support of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and PLN in strengthening the renewable energy ecosystem in Indonesia. With the inauguration of this PLTS, let's appreciate PT Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia's progressive steps in building a greener future," he added.
The utilization of renewable energy like this is an example of how the concept of sustainability is no longer just a discourse, but has begun to become part of the way of life, both at home and in the workplace.
