Learning to be a comedian, Betrand Peto: Straight from Dad

JAKARTA - The closeness between Betrand Peto and his father, Ruben Onsu, is getting warmer this Ramadan. Onyo is now not only acting as a child, but also as the main "entertainer" for his father.

Starting from waking up to sahur with various funny characters to accompanying him to eat, everything he did was to make Ruben Onsu happy.

"My father is also happy, my father is also not disturbed by my presence," said Onyo in South Jakarta, Monday, March 2.

These funny actions turned out to be a place for him to learn. He felt like he was "studying" directly with Ruben Onsu who is known as a comedian.

"My character who can be said to be learning to joke, yes, learning it is the same as Dad directly," he said.

However, he felt that he was not worthy to be called a comedian.

"I think comedians are not comedians, if you beat up a comedian," he said humbly.

In addition to learning to joke, Onyo also learned to be more caring. He even took the initiative to order his father's favorite breakfast food.

"The Sahur that is cooked, sometimes I order food from outside, right... like yesterday I ordered grilled fish for my father to be able to break the fast later," he said.
