JAKARTA - Presenter Ruben Onsu welcomed the holy month of Ramadan this year with enthusiasm and a very noble spiritual goal.

As a new Muslim, he is determined to be able to read the Qur'an better next Ramadan.

"Hopefully in Ramadan next year, my target, hopefully I can read the Qur'an well," said Ruben Onsu in the Depok area, Wednesday, February 18.

This desire was born from his continuous learning process. He felt that there were still many things he needed to learn and deepen in Islam.

"The wish is that God willing, it will be smooth to read the Qur'an, the letters that I read... that will be more and more amin," he continued.

To achieve this target, Ruben has prepared himself for a long time. He even started fasting Monday-Thursday before Ramadan arrived.

"It's been a while since Ramadan, I've been trying to fast Monday-Thursday," he admitted.

This year is very special for him because this is the first time he will carry out the fasting ritual in full.

"Last year, it was only the last two weeks," he recalled.

His spiritual experience during the umrah also strengthened his determination. He felt a deep longing to be able to return to the Holy Land.

Even though the learning process is still full of "a u a u", Ruben never gives up. He continues to strive to become a better Muslim every day.
