"The Godfather" star Robert Duvall dies at 84

JAKARTA - Legendary actor Robert Duvall died on February 15. This sad news was conveyed by his wife, Luciana Duvall through his personal Facebook account.

"Yesterday we said goodbye to our beloved husband, a good friend and one of the best actors of our time," Luciana Duvall wrote.

"Bob died peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort. To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, director, storyteller. To me, he was everything," he continued.

Furthermore, Luciana said, "His passion for his work is founded on a deep love for his character, good presentation. For each of his roles, Bob gives his best to his character and the truth of the spirit he presents."

"Thank you for your support for Bob and giving us the time and privacy to celebrate the memories he left behind," he said again.

Robert Duvall is an American-born actor, director, and producer who has been in the entertainment industry for seven decades. He is one of the actors in the golden age of Hollywood who survived until he died.

Acting in the 1960s, Duvall played several small roles until he made his Broadway debut. His first role in a feature film was Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird.

Then, he played the film The Great Santini which made him the main character and won his first Oscar nomination. He then played a number of films, including The Godfather, The Apostle, Days of Thunder, and others.

He last acted in the films Hustle and The Pale Blue Eye which were released in 2022 and the series in 2012.

Robert Duvall died at the age of 95 and left one wife, Luciana Pedreza.
