This meeting gave birth to a positive reaction from EXO-L (as EXO fans) who already know that one of EXO's personnel, Chanyeol is a big fan of Deadpool, played by Reynolds. Chanyeol also reportedly ordered a Deadpool costume from the original designer, for 14 million won for SM Entertainment's annual Halloween event. However, the costume did not arrive on time.

Chanyeol also took his photo with Reynolds which he uploaded to his Instagram account. Chanyeol wrote 성덕 (SeongDeok), a Korean slang which means a successful old fan. Chanyeol positioned himself as a Reynolds fan who finally met and chatted with the idol. This was also recorded by a number of fans who attended the premiere.
