Minta's Lawyer Asks for Oky Pratama Case to be Investigated

JAKARTA - The handling of the police report submitted by Oky Pratama at the Polda Metro Jaya has attracted attention. Oky's lawyer, Ramzy Baabud, assessed that his client's legal process seemed to have been in place and had not shown significant progress since the end of last year.

Ramzy revealed that his party had received a Letter of Notification of the Development of Investigation Results (SP2HP) since last December. In the letter, the investigators plan to examine expert witnesses in the field of language and criminal experts. However, until now, the agenda has not been completed.

"So far there has been no significant development. Since December, SP2HP has said that there will be an examination of expert witnesses in language and criminal law, but until now it has not been completed," Ramzy Baabud told reporters in Jakarta, [Date today].

Ask for the Status of the Case to be Raised

Seeing the protracted process, Ramzy urged the investigators of the Polda Metro Jaya to provide legal certainty. He hopes that the police will immediately complete the investigation stage and raise the status of the case to the investigation stage (sidik).

"We ask the investigators to provide legal certainty and immediately raise the status of this case to an investigation," he said.

Metro Jaya Police Response

Responding to the complaint, the Polda Metro Jaya ensured that Oky Pratama's report was still being processed. Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, stated that the case is currently still in the investigation stage.

Budi emphasized that the police worked according to the applicable legal procedures to ensure the objectivity of handling cases.

"True, we have received a report on behalf of the person concerned. Currently, it is still in the investigation stage and all processes are carried out in accordance with applicable laws," explained Budi Hermanto.

However, the Oky Pratama party still hopes that the examination of expert witnesses will be completed soon so that this case does not hang and provide clarity for all parties involved.
