The Minister of Communication and Information Technology (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid emphasized that stamps have a strategic position as a record of Indonesia's journey.
"Our stamps are placed as part of efforts to care for Indonesian stories about culture, history, and national identity. Stamps are also a record of the nation's journey that we must continue to protect together," said Meutya in a statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.
Meutya explained that all the issuance of stamps in 2026 was designed as a complete narrative series about Indonesia, so that it does not stand alone as a collection product.
"Through the 2026 Stamp catalog, we present a series of stamp publications that reflect the richness of Indonesia, ranging from cultural heritage and biological diversity to national events and international cooperation," said Meutya.
The 2026 Stamp e-catalog compiled by the Directorate General of Digital Ecosystems of the Ministry of Communication and Information contains 13 series of publications. Some of them are the Fire Horse Year Series, the Wayang Pandawa Lima Series, and the Fruits Series which highlight the richness of Indonesian traditions and nature.
In addition, there is also the Palembang City Historical Artifacts and Buildings Series, the Great Indonesian Children Series, and the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term, which records the national leadership phase.
