Starring Arya Saloka to Andy /rif, Algojo is Ready to Present a Full Action Series

JAKARTA - In early 2026, Vidio started to provide interesting entertainment through Algojo, the latest Original Series that combines intense action, emotional drama, and fresh humor that is close to the marginal life of Jakarta.

This series is one of Vidio's largest action productions, and also marks Arya Saloka's debut in an action series, an exciting momentum for his fans.

Directed by Rahabi Mandra and produced by Screenplay Films, Algojo is presented in 8 episodes, presenting the Jakarta street world as a battle arena for fate, moral choices, loyalty, and humanity.

Algojo tells the story of Arya Saloka who plays the role of Zar, an Anjelo (sex worker escort) who lives a simple life until an incident suddenly drags his father into danger. His father accidentally witnessed the murder of a podcaster, so he became a target and suffered serious injuries. Zar is determined to find the perpetrator who has hurt his father.

When trying to find answers, Zar instead enters a circle of dark organizations operating underground. A fatal misunderstanding puts him in a dangerous position, until he has to face Frengky (Randy Pangalila), the Algojo known for his coolness and tactics, and face pressure from the leader, Sadino (Andy /rif).

Ilya Aktop, Nicholas Raven, and Ami Murti as Writers explained that the initial idea of Algojo and Anjelo was born from the collaboration of many parties, by exploring the unique and taboo sides of the Jakarta 'underground' world that is rarely discussed. Through direct research into crime-prone gangs, they found that people there are basically the same as most people, the only difference is their way of life and work. This experience was then summarized and poured into the scenario.

The story in the Algojo series touches on gray morals, loyalty, and difficult choices. And Rahabi stated that there is an interesting side related to humanity that he wants to convey through this series.

Through the conflict between work, family, and self-esteem, the audience is invited to understand that the decisions of the characters are always born from the pressures of life, not from the desire to be "evil".
