Not a Third Party, Ridwan Kamil's Party Says the Cause of Divorce with Atalia Praratya

Bandung - The Bandung Religious Court (PA) officially granted the divorce lawsuit filed by Atalia Praratya, ending the marriage bond that had been established for 29 years with Ridwan Kamil.

Ridwan Kamil's lawyer, Wenda Aluwi, confirmed that the verdict had been uploaded on the Bandung PA's official website in the afternoon.

"It is stated that the marriage between Mrs. Atalia and Mr. Ridwan Kamil is broken because of divorce," said Wenda in Central Jakarta, Wednesday, January 7.

In its ruling, the panel of judges sentenced Bain Sughra's Talak Satu from Ridwan Kamil to Atalia Praratya. This ruling marked their legal separation.

However, this ruling is not yet legally binding (inkrah). Both parties still have 14 days to file an appeal.

Wenda also revealed that Ridwan Kamil, who initially tried to maintain his marriage, finally gave sincerity.

"The wisdom of a husband is also who later gives sincerity to release Ibu Atalia," he said.

Ridwan Kamil is said to have accepted this verdict and wished the best for his ex-wife. He also did not expect his marriage to end in the 29th year.

Through his lawyer, Ridwan Kamil also apologized to the extended family and the community for what happened. He hopes all parties can respect their personal space.

The main cause of this divorce is said to be because of communication that is no longer going well between the two.

"The cause of the divorce is that the communication between the two has been bad," explained Wenda.

Regarding the possibility of referral, the legal representative stated that he could not confirm it.

"God is the one who turns people's hearts," said Wenda.
