Debut in Horror Film, Hamish Daud Admits He's Tired But It's Fun

JAKARTA - Actor Hamish Daud finally "broke the egg" by starring in his first horror film, "Malam 3 Yasinan". He admitted that this experience was very different from his previous films, it was tiring but also very fun.

"For horror films, yes, this is the first time I've played horror," said Hamish in South Jakarta, Sunday, December 21.

He feels lucky because in his debut, he was guided by experienced directors and fellow actors.

One of the things he enjoys most is the freedom to improvise. This makes his acting feel more natural and alive.

"I was given the freedom to improvise, to enjoy the art," he said.

When asked if he was addicted to playing horror films, Hamish answered honestly. "Tired. Tired," he admitted.

However, the fatigue was paid off by the exciting atmosphere of the shoot. He explained that the fatigue was light because it was lived together with the other players who he considered as family.

"We are tired of being together, and we are old friends," he explained.

Opa Hendra (Piet Pagau) is the head of the Djojodiredjo family. He regulates all the behavior of his children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, in order to maintain the family's good name with the philosophy of 'mikul dhuwur, mendhem jero'. But, what he believes and all he wants to control ends tragically.

After the death of one of Opa Hendra's grandchildren, Sara (Shaloom Razade), the true face of the Djojodiredjo family is increasingly revealed. Sara has a twin sister, Samira (also played by Shaloom Razade). The image that has been seen from the outside, cracked, and shows the true ugliness.

The film Malam 3 Yasinan presents a strong horror with his family drama. Not only showing the horror of the supernatural figure, but also the greed of humans who are no less horror.

Starring Shaloom Razade, Piet Pagau, Farhan Rasyid, Wulan Guritno, Hamish Daud, Baim Wong, Amanda Gratiana Soekasah, Janna Joesoef, Izabel Jahja, Yasmine Aqeela, and Tien Kadaryono, the film Malam 3 Yasinan is directed by Yannie Sukarya.

The film Malam 3 Yasinan will begin airing on January 8, 2026.
