Bali is an interesting holiday destination, especially during the long Christmas and New Year holidays. One of the attractions presented is the opening of a new ride by the Bali Zoo conservation agency to welcome the surge in tourist visits during the Christmas and New Year holidays 2026.

Head of Public Relations of Bali Zoo, Emma Kristiana Chandra, explained that this new ride was designed to provide visitors with the opportunity to interact more closely with various unique and interesting animals. The statement was delivered in Singapadu Village, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Wednesday.

The attraction, named Jungle Encounter, is located in the Tamaki Gate area, within the Bali Zoo area which has an area of about 12 hectares.

Through the vehicle, Bali Zoo presents a variety of exotic animals, ranging from reptiles such as golden tegu lizards, blue-tongued lizards, iguanas, corn snakes, to albino pythons. In addition, visitors can also see unique mammals such as raccoons, sulcata turtles, fennec foxes, civets, and binturongs.

The experience of interacting with animals can be enjoyed in two sessions each day, namely at 10.00-11.30 WITA and 13.00-14.30 WITA.

Visitors do not need to pay additional fees to enter the Jungle Encounter ride because it is included in the price of the Bali Zoo entrance ticket. However, for visitors who want to take a photo with certain animals such as raccoons, civets, and fennec foxes, an additional fee of Rp. 75 thousand per person is charged.

Emma hopes that the presence of this new attraction will not only be a tourist attraction, but also be able to increase visitors' awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving protected animals. Conservation education is an important part of the experience of visiting the Bali Zoo.

In addition, this vehicle is targeted to be able to attract more domestic and foreign tourists, especially during the Christmas and New Year 2026 holiday momentum.

On weekdays, the number of visits to the Bali Zoo averages 600 to 800 people. This figure increases to around 1,000-1,200 people during weekends. Meanwhile, during the long Christmas and New Year holidays, the number of visitors is estimated to jump to 2,500-2,800 people.

Bali Zoo is located on Jalan Raya Singapadu, Gianyar, about 30 kilometers from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung. This zoo, which has been around since 2002, has a collection of around 500 animals from 65 species, including endemic animals of Bali, Indonesia, as well as various types of animals from Africa and Asia.
