The 51-year-old actor admitted that he had never been interested in becoming a director because he couldn't compete with director Martin Scorsese.
"Some people ask if I want to be a director. I said, 'I never wanted to direct. I can't do anything like Martin Scorsese. Why?' said Leonardo DiCaprio.
Even so, he still learns the process of making a film when shooting several films. He is also interested in learning cameras in the future.
"You play these characters, try to get inside their souls as much as you can and I'm more than happy to be an observer... to see what (Scorsese) is doing behind the camera," he said.
"If I could go back to before, I would like to learn more about the process behind the camera," he said.
