Jennifer Lawrence And Josh Hutcherson Potential Back To New Hunger Games

JAKARTA - Hunger Games fans may meet their two original cast. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are rumored to be starring in a new film from the world of Hunger Games, Sunrise on the Reaping.

Citing Deadline, this prequel film takes the setting of Panem 24 years before The Hunger Games which was adapted from a novel byturbation Collins. However, the joining of the two actors was due to the scene of their character in the novel.

One of the scenes in question is when Peeta (played by Josh Hutcherson) and Katosty Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) listened to the Haymitch Abernatehy character Woody Harrelson played and they talked about Hunger Games.

The Sunrise on the Reaping story tells the story of the 50th Hunger Games game which focuses on the character of young Haymitch who suddenly represents Distict 12 at the Hunger Games along with 48 other children. Haymitch is a mentor to Pepeta and Katulis in the film The Hunger Games.

Previously, Josh Hutcherson had discussed if he was asked to return to The Hunger Games, the franchise that made his name.

"It would be really cool. No, I don't know anything at the moment. This Hunger Games is amazing and I love it for a long time, and it will always be that way," Josh Hutcherson said in his interview.

This film is Hutcherson's latest project after Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and Lawrence after the film Die My Love with Robert Pattinson.

The trailer for the film Sunrise on the Reaping was released a few months ago and became the trailer for the film Lionsgate which was watched the most in 24 hours. This film is also directed by Francis Lawrence.

Sunrise on the Reaping will hit theaters on November 20, 2026.
