JAKARTA - Epy Kusnandar reportedly passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. This sad news was conveyed by his wife, Karina Ranau through her Instagram account on the same day.

The figure of Kang Mus in the soap opera Preman Pension was seen lying and surrounded by his wife and children, accompanied by sincere prayers. Various ups and downs experienced by Epy Kusnandar even some time before he breathed his last.

Epy Kusnandar is planned to be buried on Thursday, December 4 at Jeruk Purut Public Cemetery, Central Jakarta at 08.00 WIB.

Born on May 1, 1964, Epy Kusnandar grew up by loving the theater world since high school. Graduated from high school in 1983, he then continued his studies in 1989.

He started his career on television by starring in the soap opera 1 Sis 7 Ponakan in 1996. More than 10 soap opera titles and sitcoms he played.

Some of them, Bajaj Bajuri (2004), Husbands Fear Wife (2007), Mister Olga (2010), Get Married (2013), Seekers of God (2014), Retired Thugs (2015), Superman Reborn (2022).

His last role in the soap opera was through Trustee 7: Menukar Takdir Amanah in 2023.

In terms of films, Epy Kusnandar starred in 75 films during his career including several titles that have not been released publicly.

The first film he played was 7 Women on Secret Duty in 1983. Then, he experienced a long hiatus before starring in Sherina's Adventure in 2004.

Some of the iconic roles are the films Fear: Faces of Fear, V/H/S 2, Headshots, Retired Thugs and many others. He also played a role in the film The Night Comes for Us even though the scene was deleted.

In the last two years, he has played the film Badminton Devil, Pasar Setan, Mukidi, and others. This year, Epy played a role in the film Selepas Tahlil, as well as the films Tumbal Darah, Janur Ireng, and The Tiger.

In the film Selepas Tahlil, he acts as a body for the first time. He also had time to express his desire to be buried in Garut by side with his mother.

He will also play in Patriot and Qorin 2 films that have yet to announce the release date.

During her life, Epy Kusnandar married twice. First with a woman and their marriage was blessed with two children, but in an interview, he admitted that he had abandoned his ex-wife.

In 2008, he married Karina Ranau and gave birth to one son. Both had a conflict before canceling the divorce process.

Epy Kusnandar died at the age of 61.
