The Story Of Tora Sudiro Cannot Be Funny In The Film 'Janur Ireng'

JAKARTA - Tora Sudiro shared his role in the latest film, Janur Ireng. This film is directed by Kimo Stamboel, who is the prequel for the film Sewu Dino.

In this film, Tora plays Arjo Kuncoro, a leader of the Kuncoro family who has hidden intentions. This film became his first horror film during his career in acting, which of course left a different impression from a different experience.

"No comedy, no fun. His acting is tough and painful. There is a scene of screaming in this film," said Tora Sudiro at VOI's office on Monday, November 24.

Masayu Anastasia as her co-star added, "It's true, really. It was really hard for him (Tora) at the beginning, it was like a lot of stress because of his resistance."

Apart from being uncomed, the 42-year-old actor also shared the differences in appearances and challenges he lived during filming.

"Because the character is the ruler, so I want to look neat and mature. I also made up the longest, all the cast," he said.

"We shoot during the fasting month. After dawn, sitting still in the room continues to leave. Filming in Bogor from Ciputat street every morning until there is silence first," said Tora again.

Janur Ireng tells the story of Sabdo (Marthino Lio) and Intan (Queen Rafa) are an unbeaten couple. One day, their uncle Arjo Kuncoro (Tora Sudiro) to take control of the two. They were taken to a luxury house owned by the Kuncoro family, promised wealth, but it turns out that this is all the beginning of a disaster for both of them.

Janur Ireng will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting December 24, 2025.
