Tom Cruise Finally Gets Oscar After 45 Years Of Career

JAKARTA - Tom Cruise has finally received an Oscar award for his appearance in the world of film. Oscar awards were given to him as an honor in his career.

Before getting the Oscars, Tom Cruise was nominated for several films such as Born On the Fourth of July, Jerry Maguire, Magnolia. He also received nominations for Top Gun: Maverick.

Even so, he has never won an Oscar award in the nomination.

The Oscar tribute award was obtained by Tom Cruise at the Governors Awards on Monday, November 17 local time.

Director Alejandro G. Inarritu presented the Academy Honorary Award which was received directly by Tom Cruise.

"I was just a kid in a dark theater and I remember a splash of light crossing the room and I remember looking for him and it was like there was an explosion on the screen," Tom Cruise quoted NME as saying.

And suddenly, the world feels bigger than what I know. The whole life and culture and the open landscape in front of me and it twists things away. The sparks bear fruit into the desire for adventure, knowledge, understanding humanity, to create characters, to share stories and see the world," he said.

Cruise's speech talked about cinema and how they become something in our world. He also thanked the community to everyone more than a decade.

"Know I brought you all with me, every one of you, and you are part of every frame for every film I've ever made," said Tom Cruise.

"I want you guys to know I will always do whatever I can to help with art. To support making cinema stronger and hoping without much to hurt, it might be better," he said.
