JEMBER - International Jember Marching Carnival (IJMC) 2025 took place lively in Jember Regency, East Java, on November 15-16, 2025. Apart from domestic participants, this event was also attended by a team of participants from the Philippines and a jury from Thailand.
"This year IJMC was attended by 43 units of marching bands from various cities in Indonesia and one international participant from the Philippines," said Chairman of the IJMC Committee Tri Basuki in his statement in Jember, quoting ANTARA on Sunday, November 16.
According to him, the jury members in the event were presented from Thailand, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bogor, so that they are expected to increase the quality of the assessment at IJMC 2025.
"We hope that all participants return home with valuable experience, so that collaboration opportunities are more open to the Asian band's marketing community, and Jember continues to shine as a cultural stage at the national to international level," he said.
The year 2025 is the 8th year of IJMC implementation which is a forum for creative gatherings, art performances, and cultural collaborations, from various regions and countries.
The series of activities began with Night Street Parade Culture along Jalan Gajahmada to Jember square on Saturday (15/11) night and continued with the final round of Drum Battle at GOR PKPSO on November 16, 2025.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Jember Muhammad Fawait appreciated the parents, coaches, and all participants who had made Jember proud in the international arena through the acquisition of five gold medals at the MWBC Malaysia championship.
"I also gave a special award to the Jember Marching Band Manager Tri Basuki and his staff who consistently brought the name Jember to the national sphere to the world," he said.
The Jember Regency Government, he continued, is committed to presenting large-scale performances throughout the year because the service and activity sectors have proven to have made a significant contribution to economic growth, as seen in BPS data in the second and third semesters.
"IJMC 2025 is expected to be able to become a lever for the local economy, providing wider space for MSMEs and street vendors to develop. I hope that the 2026 event can take place bigger and bring participants from more countries," he said.
