Christine Hakim Proud And Annoyed With Reza Rahadian, Breath Regulated

Christine Hakim was proud to be directed by Reza Rahadian in her debut film entitled Pangku. On the other hand, he did not deny that Reza was very upset because of the direction of the actor who was considered like his son.

I don't have biological children but what I feel. During the trip, mothers always worry about their children until they are old. They will always worry. That's how I felt when Reza and Arya (Ibrahim) brought a script plus draft and continued to say the plan for this film to be shot in 2 months," said Christine Hakim at a press conference in South Jakarta on Tuesday, October 28.

Christine Hakim had disagreed with Happy Salma, who felt that Reza had to immediately make a film before the age of 40.

"I don't care about the teteh (Happy). But I don't think it's like that because Reza has been in the film for 20 years. He's very brilliant," he said.

"In short, the dynamics that occurred until the fifth draft, I was wrong. It turned out to be a magical child. As soon as Reza was involved in the scriptwriting completely and was able to achieve it," explained Christine.

Furthermore, he saw that Reza Rahadian's direction towards him was very detailed so that Christine's breath was also regulated.

"I myself was given a responsibility, I am not easy, I have to enter which is actually not ready to go to the world of Pangku as Maya's mother," said Christine Hakim.

"I remember (the director) Teguh Karya arranging me from sitting to standing, you know, but a Reza Rahadian, my breath was arranged in this film. There was a scene I wanted to carry Bayu and he said "Mother, don't breathe," he said.

Meanwhile, the film Pangku will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting November 6, 2025.
