Fake Louvre Museum Jewelry Sold Online, Price Reaches IDR 2.2 Billion

The jewelry is sold online through Vinted and eBay. Prices that are offered start at 100 thousand euros or around Rp. 2.2 billion.

According to eBay and Vinted, the items claimed to be gems were sold for 100 thousand euros as an initial offer. One of Vinted's accounts selling the jewelry said that he received his jewelry from a friend.

The account that sells the fake jewelry also casually writes the name of the jewelry as Louvre Jewels France, which is in good used condition and will be sent by Yodel.

However, until now no one is interested in bidding on the jewelry. Netizens also raised the hashtag #LouvreOnVinted and also joked about the fake jewelry.

Meanwhile, French authorities are currently racing against time to rediscover stolen jewelry from the Louvre Museum. About 100 investigators were involved in the search for jewelry and thieves.
