Exclusive Jihan Fahira: Used To Be A Glass Screen Primadona, Now Wants To Be A Benefit In The Elderly

JAKARTA - "I also want the rest of this age to have benefits. Because everything has been passed, it has been," the sentence came from Jihan Fahira, a figure nicknamed the Queen of soap operas in her time. Now she is entering a different phase of life, no longer exists on the screen. Now she is a member of the DPD RI, and is fit, as a wife and mother who takes care of the family.

Dozens of soap opera titles have starred in this Sundanese woman. In the late 90s, her face almost never decorates the screen, competing roles with several other famous names such as Lulu Tobing, Ari Wibowo to Jeremy Thomas.

After 30 soap opera titles, she slowly began to withdraw from the entertainment world. Until 2014 when she was pregnant with her fourth child, Jihan really decided to stop completely on the advice of her husband, Primus Yustisio. Human children became the list of the last soap operas she played, at least for now.

"In the past, it was, last 2014, because she was pregnant with her fourth child, so my husband said, just stay at home first. Amenin anak-anak, anak-anak masih kecil. Because if shooting itu sudah dari pagi sampai malam. Yes, it's okay too, kan punya anak kecil ya harus ditungguin," ujar Jihan Fahira dalam wawancara khusus dengan VOI, 22 Oktober.

Jihan Fahira admitted that he began to miss the shooting atmosphere of the soap opera. As her children grew up, it was impossible for him to return to the world that made his name.

"There is, I miss the crowd, I miss friends who laugh together, sometimes I stay up late, right. It's all the same, everything is crowded in that location. It doesn't matter, one day playing soap operas again. But if the moment is there, so it doesn't rule out," he said.

Despite being the prima donna of soap operas, Jihan still feels the need to adapt and learn the current situation in the entertainment industry. Over the past 10 years, he realized that the television world had undergone many changes.

"The homework, yes because what I know now is that PH used to be with PH now is a bit different system. In the past, there were a lot of collaborations with TV stations, right, using the prime time slot. Now I don't know what the current system is like. Because the last thing I heard was that it was more industrial, so it was fast. In the past, I was stripping there, but also focused on scenarios," said Jihan.

Elected as a member of the DPD RI from the West Java electoral district, Jihan Fahira is now trying to carry out the mandate as best he can. Although for him being an official is not what he aspires to, the desire to provide benefits for others moves Jihan's heart.

"It's not those who dream from a long time ago, it's just momentum. I'm trying because if the DPD has ID card support. At least five thousand ID cards are voiced like that. And this is screened, verified like that. And thank God yesterday it was thirteen thousand who agreed. So I think I tried it, Bismillah. Because I also want the rest of this age to have benefits. Because everything has been passed, already," said the artist who was born on January 6, 1978.

In addition to carrying out the task of supervising tax and financial policies as a member of Committee IV, Jihan Fahira also often goes directly to the community for the socialization of the four pillars of nationality, anti-disclosure, domestic violence and other social issues. Here he sees the problems from various perspectives, namely as a mother, wife, netizens and members of the DPD.

"I really want to reduce domestic violence, then children today are teenagers, don't keep fighting. For teachers, there are also many people watching it on TV, right. There are also many reports about sexual abuse of students or all kinds of things, right. It seems really sad. So from all of this, in my opinion, it's like that. Not only from students, from the teachers too," said Jihan.

Trusted by 1.5 million voters is a big responsibility. In addition to trying his best to voice his area, Jihan only has one principle that he brings in carrying out his duties.

"Yes, you don't have to be weird. That's too. There must be an examination. So you don't have to look for a problem. Maybe the harsh language. You don't have to look for a problem. Because you don't look for a problem. The test must come. So you don't have to have a lot of behavior. One. Do it really. Good," he replied firmly.

With a focus on his duties and principles, Jihan does not feel skeptical about the celebrities who become public officials having an impact on him.

"It doesn't really have an impact because I did it too, not to be stylish. It means that while I'm in this institution I really want to go down. Because if I've been in style since 93. So what I do is I want to be present in the middle of them," he explained.

At the age now and in his experience in the world of entertainment and state, Jihan Fahira only has one last goal, a hope that he wants to achieve for himself and his beloved family.
