JAKARTA - Director Chiska Doppert presents his latest film, Maju Serem Resigns Horror. He tried his luck by combining comedy and horror in his latest work under Makara Production.

The film Maju Serem Mundur Horror tells the story of four eternal students, namely Bowo (Dodit Mulyanto), Poltak (Maell Lee), Dede (Daffa Ariq), Asikin (John Yewen) who is given a deadline by a supervisor to complete a short film project as a condition of graduation.

One day, they wake up and dream of highlighting a short film with a woman named Tiara (Sara Fajira). But when in the real world, they find Tiara (Carissa Perusset) an actress who is experiencing problems in public.

Tiara, who does not have an acting project, is willing to join to become the main character in their film, assisted by Mumun (Sara Fajira). Filming started with Poltak becoming the director of the short film.

They chose the horror genre and even shot in a forest that used Dutch graves, but strange incidents began to happen to them. Now, they are confused about completing the film's duties.

Premisnya bukan sesuatu yang baru, bahkan dapat ditemu di film-film lainnya, tapi merger antara keempat karakter utama menjadi kombinasi yang cukup menyenangkan.

The comedy can also be enjoyed even though it almost goes to the offline, but is often saved with excessive expressions and comedy situations that make the main plot continue.

There is no need to think too much to write or digest its contents because this film is entertainment. The four characters also played their characters straightforwardly.

Maju Serem Mundur Horror may remind you of the ensembles in the 2000s who worked as a group, making this film basically remain entertaining.

Cinematography and sunny color selection also make this film not feel like a horror film, even demons who are present are often comedy tools.
