JAKARTA Minister of Culture Fadli Zon officially opened the Ta'aruf Film SANFFEST 2025 at Building A, Ministry of Culture Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 21. He sees santri as an asset of the nation that can move civilization in the future and in the future.

The Santri Views the World Through a Cultural Lens event as part of the 2025 Santri Film Festival (SANFFEST) series, the first film event in Indonesia which was initiated to present the work and world views of the students.
Menbud Fadli emphasized that the role of santri is now beyond the pesantren space. They are not just heirs to tradition, but also important actors in Indonesian cultural diplomacy. The theme of From the Santri Window, Viewing the World is not a slogan. This is a big vision so that students become subjects of civilization, not just spectators," he said.
He highlighted the pesantren as a historic institution that has formed the face of the archipelago culture and an open Islamic civilization. "Pesantren became a harmonious meeting space between Islamic values and local culture. From there were born moral and cultural forces of the nation," he said.
SANFFEST can be a cultural movement and cultural diplomacy in Indonesia. According to Fadli, this will trigger real actions that have a positive impact on the world sphere.
