This City Is Called The Cheapest In The World, But Almost No Tourists Come

JAKARTA - For those of you who want to take a vacation to a new place without having to drain your pocket, Asunci Badminton, Paraguay can be the perfect choice. This city officially holds the title as the cheapest city in the world. But strangely enough, not many tourists have come there.

Travel journalistRob Crossan once shared his funny experience when he visited Asuncimen. He told how he was laughed at at at a nightclub because he paid around 55 penions ( Paraguayan currencies) or Rp. 10,000 to buy delicious local pies. According to local residents, the price is considered too expensive for Paraguay.

"I think I've got a low price for an empanada filled with ham and cheese the size of a travel pillow, but it turns out that locals are laughing at me. They congratulated me for successfully buying the most expensive empanada in Paraguay," Crossan said, quoted from the Mirror page.

Even though the incident occurred in 2007, Asunci totaled his reputation as the city with the lowest cost of living in the world, as well as being untouched by mass tourism.

The name Asunci divided from the Southeast of the Assumption or the Maria Ascension Party to Heaven which was celebrated on August 15, 1537, the date of the city's establishment. Four years later, the city's population grew when Buenos Airesdit Morbah after being attacked by the Pampa Indians tribe, and its residents fled to Asuncimen.

For almost half a century, Asunci happened to be the center of Spanish colonial rule in the eastern part of South America, before Buenos Aires was rebuilt. Now the city is famous for its ever-bearing trees and vast gardens that add to its beauty.

Buildings on the banks of the river still maintain a colonial style, while the city center looks modern with tall buildings. Some of the historical places that must be visited include the Asunci totaling, Presidential Palace, and the National Hero Platform (Pantheon of Heroes), a small building inspired by Les Invalids in Paris.

Every year, almost all of Paraguay is held a large parade to commemorate the founding day of Asunci fire. This event is the best opportunity to enjoy local culture, traditional music, and a typical Paraguay business.
