Menbud Fadli Zon Calls Miss Chinese Indonesia Evidence Luhur Cultural Acculturation

JAKARTA - Minister of Culture Fadli Zon attended the Miss Chinese Indonesia 2025 grand final as proof of support. According to him, this event is not just a beauty event, but a real symbol of cultural acculturation that takes place in the midst of Indonesian people.

This event is an important space to celebrate and preserve Chinese culture that is integrated into the archipelago culture. This is where the harmony and pride of the nation's identity grow," said Fadli at the Aryaduta Menteng Hotel, Jakarta, Sunday, October 5 evening.

Menbud Fadli assessed that the Chinese people have an important role in the journey of Indonesian culture and literacy. He gave an example of Tan Khoen Swie, the legendary publisher of Kediri who produced hundreds of classic Javanese literary works, including the works of Ronggowarsito and Yasadipura.

"This step shows the strong role of Chinese in Indonesian culture," he said.

Miss Chinaghoa Indonesia 2025, which has the theme Merangkai Budaya, Mencapai Masa Depan, followed by 27 finalists from various regions, ranging from DKI Jakarta, Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan to Bali. Competition is divided into three age categories: small children, teenagers, and adults.
