Nisa's Role In Ipar Is Death Of The Series, Tatjana Saphira Admits Burden

JAKARTA - The viral story of Ipar Is Death that rocked social media is now adapted into a highly anticipated series. Starring Tatjana Saphira, the series promises an in-depth exploration of characters and complex family dramas.

On the other hand, producer Manoj Punjabi prepared a new innovation by launching the series simultaneously on different platforms, MDTV and Netflix.

"The question may be, why not? Because who doesn't know the story 'Ipar is Death'?" said Tatjana Saphira in the South Jakarta area, Wednesday, October 1.

However, his interest does not only stop at popularity. He saw that there was a much deeper layer of the story than just the issue of infidelity. According to him, this story is full of relevant human values.

"In my opinion, more than the drama about infidelity, the story has a lot of value about, what, like humanity, about family ties, about commitment, about trust," explained Tatjana Saphira.

Nisa's character that she plays is also a challenge in itself. She sees Nisa as a strong woman who is full of love, an interesting complexity to explore.

"And I also think Nisa's character is very interesting to explore and a challenge for me too. Because here, Nisa's character is actually a strong woman, who is very full of love for everything around her, starting from her mother, sister, her husband, children, she wants to give her best," he said.

Bringing a character from a story that is already widely known is certainly not without pressure. Tatjana acknowledged the burden she felt during the production process.

"If you say there is no burden, it means it's like a lie, it must be a little burden," explained Tatjana Saphira.

Even so, he explained that the intensive discussion process with the director, Hanung Bramantyo, really helped him in shaping his version of Nisa's character.

"But before filming, there had been a lot of discussions with Mas Hanung and yes, because the actors were also different, yes, the characters were also adapted to us," he continued.

In the end, this whole process became a very valuable learning experience for him. "So yes, this is a creative process that is quite interesting, challenging and I think I learned a lot while working on this 'Ipar Maut The Series' project," added Tatjana Saphira.

Di sisi produser, Manoj Punjabi dari MD Entertainment mengumumkan sebuah langkah strategis yang inovatif. Peluncuran Ipar Adalah Maut The Series menjadi momentum penting bagi MD Entertainment.

"So, today we are launching Ipar Is Death The Series which will air on MDTV and Netflix simultaneously. This is something new, yes. So this is launching, this is arguably MDTV's grand launching. TV is the most drama or the most drama. So for me this is something different, yes, MD will continue to innovate," explained Manoj Punjabi.

More than that, Manoj emphasized his vision to change the landscape of the television industry in Indonesia. He wants to increase the standard of conventional soap operas into series with more controlled production quality and mature storytelling.

"Not just, okay, free to air means soap operas. No, we want to increase the level of soap operas to be series. Not series 6, 8, 10, but 30, 40, 50, 70. So the series is more controlled," he said.

With this new standard, he hopes to provide shows that not only pursue ratings, but also the quality that the audience appreciates, as well as open potential for the following seasons.

"Later, hopefully we will get a positive response, potential season 2. So soap operas are not just what they are, chasing ratings, but we already have standards, yes. Accepted as well as possible, easy, hopefully they will be received well," he hoped.
