Had Improved, Raisa Andriana's Sister Distributed The Latest Conditions Of Her Mother Who Was Sentenced To Cancer

JAKARTA - The mother of a well-known singer Raisa Andriana is battling cancer. Raisa's older sister, Rinaldi Nurpratama, shared the chronology of her mother's struggle through a series of intensive medical treatments, from chemotherapy, immunotherapy, to radiotherapy.

Through uploads on social media, Rinaldi explained the development of his mother's condition in detail. This struggle began after the last chemotherapy that was carried out at the end of April 2025.

Rinaldi explained that after the last chemotherapy, the mother showed many positive developments after undergoing a series of immunotherapy.

"Since the last Chemotherapy on April 29, 2025, there have been a lot of developments for my mother, followed by an 11x immunotherapy," said Rinaldi Nurpratama, Raisa's older brother, quoted by VOI from Instagram @rinaldinurpratama, Tuesday, September 29.

The results of the PET scan examination in mid-September also showed good news, where most of the cancer cells were declared inactive.

"On September 11 my mother was at the Petscan check, Alhamdulillah the results were very positive, many cancers were no longer active, only a few were still alive. A few days after that, you started to feel short (do have asthma)," continued Rinaldi.

However, a few days later, her mother's condition declined. She began to feel shortness of breath, which was exacerbated by her history of asthma.

"Then on September 18, we delivered the 12th Immunotherapy with a shortness of breath. The results showed a lot to correct, the doctor suggested hospitalization. After 5 days there was no increase, on September 22 the mother entered the HCU," said Rinaldi.

Treatment at the High Care Unit (HCU) was also carried out. Due to the increasingly severe condition, the team of doctors decided to install a ventilator to help his breathing.

"During 3 days of shortness of breath getting worse, anxiety worsened, on September 24, the doctor decided to install a assisted ventilator. After that, Bronkoscopy was carried out, it was found that the air channel was almost covered by active cancer cells. Doctor immediately did Cryosurgery, Mother was transferred to Dharmais Hospital," he said.

At the Dharmais Cancer Hospital, the medical team immediately took action to clear the respiratory tract that was hampered by cancer cells.

"September 25th, Alhamdulillah it was successful, the airway was cleaned. But you still have to Radiotherapy so that it doesn't grow again," explained Rinaldi.

Radiotherapy began two days later as a follow-up to ensure cancer cells do not return to growth.

"September 27, the first Radiotherapy began. The ventilator was unable to be lifted because there were still many specimens that could not be removed. Behind the suffering and pain of the ventilator, we were shown extraordinary strength and fighting power from Mother," he said.

In the midst of a tough struggle, Rinaldi witnessed his mother's fighting spirit that was never extinguished. He said that this was the greatest struggle he had ever witnessed from his mother.

"Every day you are excited to undergo radiotherapy and medical action to fight her illness. In 38 years I have lived to see you, this is the greatest struggle. My mother doesn't want to lose, my mother wants to win," said Rinaldi.

Closing his statement, Rinaldi thanked him for all the prayers and support that had been given for his mother's recovery.

"Thank you to all those who have prayed. Sorry for not being able to reply to messages one by one, but all the prayers and enthusiasm have reached us and my mother," concluded Rinaldi Nurpratama.
