Claresta Taufan Becomes The Face Of Jakarta Film Week 2025, Present At BIFF

JAKARTA - Actress Claresta Taufan is the new face for the Jakarta Film Week 2025 film festival. As one of the Indonesian film festivals, this festival will also be present at the 2025 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), to be precise at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) which will take place on September 20, 2025.

In addition, Yulia Evina Bhara, a producer and Festival Board of Jakarta Film Week 2025, was selected as one of the main competition judges at BIFF 2025. Previously, she was also a judge of Critics Week Cannes Film Festival 2025. Not only that, the film she produced with Malaysia's director, Woo Ming Jin, entitled The Fox King which conducted the Asian Premiere through the A Window on Asian Cinema program.

Claresta was also present at the BIFF event as the main character in the film Pangku, Reza Rahadian's directorial debut film which premiered on BIFF through the Vision Asia program.

Claresta won the Winner of The Rising Star Award at the Marie Claire Asia Star Award, which is part of the 2025 BIFF.

The film Pangku tells the story of Sartika (Claresta Taufan) who sells coffee services to support his small family. His life changed after meeting a truck driver who was interested in him.

It is not yet known whether the film Pangku will hold its premiere in Jakarta Film Week 2025 after receiving various awards at BIFF 2025.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Film Week at the fifth year event again presented various flagship programs designed to bridge filmmakers with industry stakeholders.

Jakarta Film Week will be held again on October 22, 2025 with various programs ranging from screenings of feature films long and short, talks, masterclass, business forums, pitching forums, to festival meetings.
