Tompi Criticizes Hospital System, Invites Doctors To Collaborate And Dare To Be Independent

JAKARTA - dr. Teuku Adifitrian alias Tompi continues to encourage doctors to have an entrepreneurial spirit (entrepreneurship) in carrying out their professions.

The doctor who is also the singer said that the entrepreneur's spirit will make doctors think about how they work by providing the best service to patients.

"From the beginning I was in college, I thought of this (doctor as entrepreneur). Yes, maybe because I have exposure outside, I am active in entertainment, so I usually meet people, I usually talk," said Tompi in Bintaro, South Tangerang, Saturday, September 20.

The reason is that Tompi said that the general public's opinion of the medical profession is not entirely appropriate. He said that many doctors whose income was still very small and not proportional to their work demanded that they continue to learn in order to provide the best service.

"This is a fact. There are still many doctors whose monthly salaries are not better than parking attendants. That's true. Doctors whose salaries are 5 million to 6 million a month are still a lot. In Jakarta there are still many, you don't have to go to remote areas," he said.

Tompi even said doctors who work in hospital agencies still had not received treatment according to their position as a "major motorbike" in the hospital business.

"Especially for private hospitals, they already have to treat doctors as stakeholders, no longer as employees (employees), because those who hold skills (experts) and knowledge (knowledge) are doctors," said the 46-year-old man.

"But now, the doctor's income at the hospital is an average of 10 to 15 percent of the total bill. It's really small. This is what I criticize. This is what I'm trying to change by building this Beyoutiful," he added.

Through Beyoutiful, Tompi encourages doctors with good skills and knowledge to become entrepreneurs, one of which is dr. Yuliardy Limengka who opened the Indonesia Vein Center (IVC) at T-Space Bintaro 9.
