Vino G Bastian Returns To Horror Through Shutter Film, Horror Remake Film From Thailand

JAKARTA Falcon Pictures officially released its newest poster and trailer for the horror film titled Shutter. This film is a remake of the legendary Thai horror by director Banjong Pisanthanakun, who has succeeded in gaining international popularity.

This version of Indonesia is worked on with a new touch by the director who won various awards, Herwin Novianto, by presenting a strong local cultural nuance.

Carrying a combination of psychological horror and supernatural terror, Shutter tells the story of Darwin (Vino G. Bastian), a photographer whose life changes drastically after a car accident with his girlfriend, Pia (Anya Geraldine). In that incident, they hit a mysterious woman.

Since this incident, Darwin has begun to be haunted by the terrible shadow that appears in every photo of him. The figure of a foreign woman slowly enters their lives, bringing increasingly real terror.

Pia then tried to investigate the identity of the woman, until she opened the veil of the dark past that Darwin had been hiding.

This search not only reveals dark secrets, but also drags them on the dire consequences of past mistakes. In addition to displaying horror tensions, Shutter has also presented emotional and moral conflicts of his main character, making this film different from just ordinary horror films.

The film stars Vino G. Bastian, Anya Geraldine, and Niken Anjani, who are ready to present intense and deep acting.

Director Herwin Novianto added, "For me, Shutter is not just a ghost story. It's about how the secrets of the past can be a burden that haunts us, even when we try to forget it. I want the audience to feel the tension and emotional dilemmas that the characters experience," he said.

Meanwhile, the main character of Vino G. Bastian revealed the challenges in this film. "I'm happy to be involved in the project of this film, and playing a role in this film, I have to dig deep emotions, as well as face quite intense horror scenes. I hope the audience can enjoy the remake of this shutter film, and feel the tension that is presented in this film," said Vino G. Bastian.

Shutter will be broadcast simultaneously in all Indonesian cinemas starting October 30, 2025, coinciding with the moment Halloween, ready to provide a tense horror sensation.
