AKARTA - More than just filling the empty space, furniture is a reflection of our identity, philosophy, and commitment to sustainability. A chair does not only serve as a seat, furniture is a work of art, cultural evaporation, and proof of material innovation.
Choosing the right design is the same as choosing the narrative you want to convey about yourself and your home. This is a decision that is now increasingly being realized by the urban community. This education is the basis for seeing Indonesia not only as a producer, but also a trend center that determines the direction of global tastes.
The global design and lifestyle stage is turning back to Indonesia. The Indonesia Furniture Exhibition, Interior Design, & Craft (IFFINA+) 2025 is officially opened at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang.
Carrying the visionary concept of "Story of Origin," IFFINA+ 2025 is not just an exhibition event; it is an ambitious declaration to position Indonesia as the center of world culture, design, furniture, and handicraft trends.
Held by the Indonesian Crafts & Furniture Industry Association (Asmindo) and PT Mahala Imaji Kreasi, the exhibition which runs until September 20, 2025 appears on a massive and inclusive scale.
More than 150brandlocal and international, 25 well-known designers, 25 creative communities, as well as 30 educational institutions and collaborating industries, created a showcase ecosystem that unites traditional heritage, contemporary creativity, and cross-sectoral innovation.
The theme "Story of Origin" was chosen to underline the importance of naturalness, sustainable practice, and innovation in responding to global market demands. Through this theme, IFFINA+ 2025 is determined to strengthen the competitiveness of the Indonesian furniture and craft industry.
To realize this vision, IFFINA+ collaborates with Eugenio Hendro as a Creative Director and is supported by the Board of Curators consisting of influential figures in the industry, such as Diana Nazir, Eric Luwia, and William Simiadi.
"As an association whose majority of members are labor-intensive SMEs, ASMINDO is determined to encourage increased market control, both export and domestic. The presence of IFFINA+ 2025 means a very strategic meaning, not just an exhibition event, but as a driving force for the national furniture and handicraft industry ecosystem," said Mr. Dedy Rochimat, Chairman of Asmindo, when met at ICE BSD, Tangerang on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
One of the main differentiators of IFFINA+ 2025 is its efforts to be closer to the public and urban lifestyles. In addition to the thematic exhibition area (Immersive Expo) featuring furniture, furnishing to kitchen and bathroom products, this event also presents a series of inspiring flagship programs.
