JAKARTA - The PLEDIS Entertainment Agency released an official statement regarding the fireworks incident at SEVENTEEN's latest concert, New_. The inaugural concert, which was held at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, caused a number of victims who were injured.
On September 13, SEVENTEEN marked a New_ world tour in Incheon. The fireworks that slid during the concert had experienced a technical error so that fireworks fell directly into the audience.
Several viewers shared photos of the condition of their hands which had scars after experiencing fireworks.
"In the last part of SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN INCHEON which was held on September 13, several fireworks used as special effects accidentally fell into the audience," said PLEDIS Entertainment.
"Even though the professional company regulates distance and direction and checks repeatedly before the concert, we consider this incident to be caused by some damaged products," he continued.
"We apologize to the audience who was shocked or felt uncomfortable because of this unexpected situation," the agency said.

PLEDIS explained that two confirmed audiences suffered injuries and were immediately taken to the clinic at the concert venue before returning home. They also ensured that the agency would take care of treatment until the audience felt recovered.
"To find out if there were additional victims, while at the same time arranging the situation, we will send separate messages to the audience who came to the concert that day," said PLEDIS Entertainment.

SEVENTEEN started their tour on September 13 and will be completed on December 21 in Fukuoka, Japan. The concert will be attended by nine members considering the other four members: Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Hoshi, and Woozi carry out military duties.
