Asked To Leave Super Junior, Siwon Responds To Charlie Kirk's Criticism

JAKARTA - Super Junior's Siwon responded to fans who recently criticized their idol. This happened after he offered his condolences to activist Charlie Kirk, who is pro-Donald Trump.

Charlie Kirk, known for his racism and discrimination against immigrants, died after being shot by an unknown person. He also perpetuated the use of weapons in the United States which is one of the most talked about conflicts.

Previously, Siwon uploaded an Instagram Story about Charlie Kirk's death by adding a Bible verse containing a good servant's message. He referred good servants to Kirk.

Setelah unggahan itu, Siwon menyadari banyaknya penggemar yang mengkritik tindakannya. Sebuah akun di Instagram dibuat oleh anonim yang meminta idol mereka untuk keluar dari Super Junior.

'Siwon Choi join hands with genocide crimes. He shouldn't represent Super Junior. #Siwon_OUT," said the biodata written on the Instagram account.

This account also regularly uploads the caption, 'Siwon Out' to ask Siwon to leave the group voluntarily.

Monday, September 15, Siwon wrote, 'I love you' in English for one of the uploads of the account. The comment was then liked by more than 500 users.

Previously, Siwon also explained his reasons for expressing his condolences to Charlie Kirk. He admitted that it was not a political form that fans called it.

I want to explain because many talked about my upload about Charlie Kirk. He's a Christian, household leader and a husband. Despite the situation, the fact that he lost his life in the shooting while giving students lessons is a tragedy outside of political positions. This is my reason for mourning, "he said.

"After uploading it, I thank you for the media's attention, but because my intention is different, I believe I have conveyed and chose to delete the upload. After all, because of the many responses, I want to explain," said Siwon.
