Fachri Albar Sentenced To 6 Months Of Rehabilitation For Drug Abuse Cases

JAKARTA - The panel of judges at the West Jakarta District Court finally sentenced actor Fachri Albar to 6 months of rehabilitation for a case of alleged drug abuse.

After the presiding judge stated that the Pengabdi Setan film player was guilty, Fachri was asked to undergo rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Center in Lido, Sukabumi.

"The trial, stated that the defendant Fachri Albar was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of drug abuse class I," said judge Iwan Anggoro Warsita at the West Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, September 3.

"The defendant Fachri Albar was sentenced to 6 months of rehabilitation at the BNN Rehabilitation Center in Lido," he continued.

On this occasion, the panel of judges also said several aggravating things and mitigated Renata Kusmanto's ex-husband.

One of the aggravating factors is that this is not the first time Fachri Albar has been caught in a case of alleged drug abuse.

Then the mitigating factor is Fachri admits his actions and he is the backbone of the family.

For information, Fachri Albar was arrested in connection with a suspected drug abuse case at his home in the South Jakarta area last April. Fachri is reportedly alone and conscious when the arrest occurred.

Previously, he had stumbled on similar cases twice, namely in 2007 and 2018. For his actions, Fachri Albar was charged with RI Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics Article 111 Paragraph 1, with the threat of punishment for a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 12 years or a maximum fine of Rp. 8 billion.

Fachri is also subject to Article 112 paragraph (1) with a minimum imprisonment of 4 years and a maximum of 12 years, and RI Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropic Article 62 with a maximum imprisonment of 5 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 100 million.
