Keep Playing Movies But Denzel Washington Admits He Never Watches Movies Again

JAKARTA - Denzel Washington is indeed known as one of the legendary actors who is still actively acting in various titles. Even so, he admitted that he was no longer watching movies.

On credit, the actor has acted in more than 40 film titles since making his debut in the film Carbon Copy in 1981.

"I don't watch movies anymore, really don't watch them," Denzel Washington told GQ.

"I'm just honest with you guys. I don't watch movies anymore. I don't go to the cinema, I'm tired," he said.

Director Spike Lee had asked whether Denzel Washington remembered how many films he had played so far.

"Too much. I thought maybe 50 (films)," said Denzel Washington.

Previously, Washington said it was not just pursuing awards, especially Oscars. During his career, he won two Oscars.

"I didn't do it for Oscar. I don't care about things like that. I've been in this industry for a long time and there was a time when I won and I shouldn't have won and didn't win and so on," he said.

'I'm not very interested in Oscars. People ask, 'Where do I keep it?' I just put it,' said Denzel Washington.

Denzel Washington himself returns to acting through the film Highest 2 Lowest from the direction of Spike Lee which aired this year.
