Inaugurating Ustaz House And Santri Dormitory, UAS: Prepare Generation For The Nation

YOGYAKARTA - The house of Ustaz and the Santri Dormitory of the Tahfidz Al-Ma'ruf Jatimas, Sleman, DIY is clear evidence of a synergy between the business world, education, and da'wah in building Islamic civilization. When inaugurating the establishment of the Tahfidz Al-Ma'ruf House, charismatic cleric Ustaz Abdul Somad (UAS) stated that the house and dormitory were not just physical development, but strategic steps to prepare the Qur'anian generation.

Ustaz Abdul Somad said the importance of a religious center such as the Ustaz House and Santri Dormitory. From homes and dormitories it is an effort to build Islamic civilization.

"This tahfidz house is not just a place to study, read and memorize. But this is the center of the birth of da'wah cadres who bring the light of the Qur'an to the community," said UAS when giving tausiyah, Monday, August 18, 2025.

"This is where we hope that the next generation of people who are strong in nature, have knowledge and are beneficial for the nation," said UAS, which was greeted by the congregation's takbir.

Yes, thousands of worshipers spilled over when they filled the Al-Ma'ruf Jatimas Mosque complex in the Subuhan Akbar and Inauguration of the Ustaz House & Santri Dormitory of the Tahfidz Al-Ma'ruf Jatimas House. The event presented Ustaz Abdul Somad who was accompanied by Ustaz Salim Afillah and Ustaz Luqmanulhakim inaugurating the Ustadz House and Santri Dormitory.

Also present were community leaders, elements of muspika, takmir mosques, and the leadership of PT Ukhuwah Berkah Semesta (UBS) who became the driving force of activities. Their presence is clear evidence of the synergy between the business world, education, and da'wah in building Islamic civilization.

On that occasion, UAS also emphasized the importance of collaboration between ulama, businessmen, and the community so that da'wah does not run alone. "It is important to collaborate so that da'wah does not run alone," he said.

The inauguration was held on the collaboration of the Jatimas Muslim Family Foundation, the Tahfidz Al-Hidayah House Network, and PT Ukhuwah Berkah Semesta. In his remarks, Erwan Barudi, the owner of PT UBS (Geprek Chickenbrand Sai and Hajj Chicken), emphasized that the business businesses that are run are always combined with da'wah and social missions.

"From the start, we have dedicated 35 percent of PT UBS's profits to da'wah, education, and social activities. This Tahfidz Al-Ma'ruf house is a tangible manifestation of this commitment," said Erwan.

"We want the business that is run not only to be profit-oriented, but also to be a road of da'wah that brings broad benefits to the people," he said again.

In addition to supporting the construction of the Tahfidz Al-Ma'ruf House, PT UBS has also pioneered a number of other programs, including the Tahfidz Student House, as a forum for fostering the campus youth to be close to the Qur'an.

Furthermore, the Culinary Islamic Boarding School, which combines entrepreneurial skills with Qur'ani and Tahfidz Houses with Special Needs, programs that are being prepared for special children to still be able to memorize the Qur'an according to their abilities, which are currently still the ideals and expectations.

Erwan said that some of the fostered students had even made achievements, although the achievement of memorization may not be perfect.

"For us, one verse that is sincerely memorized is more valuable than a thousand verses that are read without meaning. Therefore, we want this tahfidz house to become a uterus for anyone who wants to get closer to the Qur'an," he said.

"We hope that the Tahfidz Al-Ma'ruf Jatimas house will become the starting point for the birth of a great synergy between scholars, businessmen, and the community to uphold Islamic glory through the Qur'an," said Abdul Somad.
