Andre Taulany's Response To Erin's Exception Regarding Domicile

JAKARTA - The divorce process for presenters Andre Taulany and Rien Wartia Trigina (Erin) faces quite crucial technical obstacles.

Erin Taulany's party filed an exception or objection regarding the authority of the Tigaraksa Religious Court to hear this case, on the grounds that Andre Taulany's domicile as the applicant was not in the area.

In response to this, Andre Taulany's team of attorneys, Fahmi Bachmid, firmly denied and disclosed the evidence they had. According to him, the debate over domicile is groundless.

"Earlier there was a debate, I stated that Andre had many houses, not just one, in South Tangerang there was, in South Jakarta there was, in Malang there were many houses," said Fahmi Bachmid in the East Jakarta area.

Fahmi emphasized that the legal basis for determining a person's domicile is a valid Identity Card (KTP), and Andre Taulany's ID card is recorded in the jurisdiction of the Tigaraksa Religious Court.

"So, when it comes to relative competence, it is in accordance with the Population Administration Law, the identity of a person can be proven by the existence of an ID card," he continued.

"So the existing KTP until now is in South Tangerang or in Tigaraksa. So I ask PA Tigaraksa to continue to decide this case and continue in the main cases," he said.

Previously, the Tigaraksa Religious Court's public relations explained that at the last trial, Erin's party filed an exception on Andre Taulany's domicile which was outside the authority of the Tigaraksa Religious Court.

"Earlier AT (Andre Taulany) was present if E (Erin) was only his attorney. The agenda is still proof of exception, so because there are cries that the applicant (Andre) does not live in the jurisdiction of the Tigaraksa Religious Court," said Mohamad Sholahudin.

"The respondent does not live in the jurisdiction of the Tigaraksa Religious Court. So the respondent (Erin) objected through the exception, earlier the stage was on the proof, that's all," he continued.
