JAKARTA - Singer from Malaysia, Mohd Shah Rosli or better known as Dino's stage name, is undergoing a recovery period after suffering a stroke that attacks the right side of his body.
In a recent interview with local media, the man who is now 50 years old revealed that the incident was probably triggered by his unhealthy diet and lifestyle. He admitted that before suffering a stroke, he consumed seven durians at once in a day.
"I really like durian and will eat it every season. It is possible that my diet has a role in stroke."
"I also often eat sweet foods. The day before the incident, I ate seven durians and the next morning I had a stroke. When talking to a doctor, my mouth still smelled durian," said Dino, quoted from The Star page on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Apart from durian, Dino is also aware that smoking in the long term also triggers this health problem. He is now determined to quit smoking completely.
Outside the music world, Dino works as a steward in a shopping center. Currently, Dino is taking sick leave to focus on recovery. However, financial problems began to narrow because his income had stalled.
"After a month, I had no income. That's why I asked for help. So far I have survived the savings," he said.
Dino added that the assistance of 500 ringgit or Rp. 1.9 million from his workplace was not enough to cover costs.
As part of the recovery process, Dino must undergo further examination at Kuala Lumpur Hospital every two weeks.
He also tried alternative treatments such as massage therapy at a cost of around 200 ringgit or Rp766,000 per session.
Even so, he is still grateful because his condition is starting to improve.
"During my first stroke, I could barely move or speak clearly. However, I tried hard to recover and finally my condition improved," he said.
Dino is now paying more attention to his health and is committed to following the doctor's advice so that similar incidents do not happen again.
"I will be more careful about my diet and regularly take the medicine given by the doctor. I have to take blood dilution drugs to prevent cholesterol buildup." he said.
