JAKARTA - The trio of actresses Eva Celia, Amanda Rawles, and Nayla Purnama revealed a unique challenge they faced while acting as brothers in the film If Mother Wasn't Married to Father.

The essential resemblance between the characters they play with their personal lives as the first, second, and third children, turns out to be a double-edged sword.

Eva Celia explained that there are so many similarities between their characters and themselves in the real world, especially in the dynamics as brothers.

"Yes, it is certain that basically our characters have a lot in common with our personal lives, I am the first child, Amanda is the second child, Nayla is the third child," said Eva Celia in the Central Jakarta area, Monday, August 4.

However, he emphasized that they still try not to present themselves, but to bring the characters they play according to the scenario.

"So basically there are a lot of similarities but the situation must be different. How do we do it too, here is not Eva, Amanda, Nayla tries to express ourselves but how can our characters express themselves," he continued.

Amanda Rawles replied, admitting that the similarity on the one hand makes it easier, but on the other hand it can be confusing.

The confusion arises when there are scenes or dialogues that feel that they do not match what they will do in real life.

"And actually with that resemblance it makes it easier but at the same time it can be confusing," said Amanda Rawles.

"And it's like Eva said earlier, so sometimes I like to feel, eh, I don't think I'm going to do this as a middle child, but this isn't you, you're not like Alin," Amanda continued.

To overcome this, discussions and exchanging ideas are key. Nayla Purnama added that they often discuss building warmth and the depth of their character as a family.

"Yes, there are also many moments where when I read again, there are very, very frequent discussions, so we exchange ideas like each other, but according to you, if Acha is like this, then give each other. That's what needs to be a warm character," said Nayla Purnama.
