Erin Protests About Domicile At Divorce Trial With Andre Taulany

JAKARTA - The divorce process between presenter Andre Taulany and his wife, Rien Wartia Trigina (Erin), is again facing a steep path.

The trial, which was held at the Tigaraksa Religious Court, had to be postponed after Erin's side filed an objection or exception regarding Andre Taulany's domicile which was deemed incompatible with the jurisdiction of the court.

This was revealed by Mohamad Sholahudi, spokesman for the Tigaraksa Religious Court, after the trial.

"Earlier AT (Andre Taulany) was present if E (Erin) was only his attorney. The agenda is still proof of exception, so because there is a badminton that the applicant (Andre Taulany) does not live in the jurisdiction of the Tigaraksa Religious Court," said Mohamad Sholahudi, Monday, August 4.

The objection raised by Erin's side made the agenda for the trial to focus on proving the exception.

"The respondent (Erin) does not live in the jurisdiction of the Tigaraksa Religious Court. So the respondent objected through the exception, the stage was on the proof, that's all," he continued.

When asked about the possibility that this divorce would fail again due to domicile problems, Mohamad Sholahudi could not provide certainty.

He emphasized that all decisions are in the hands of the panel of judges who will assess all the evidence submitted by both parties.

"(Not according to the domicile will fail again) That is difficult to predict, because the assembly is authorized, judging what the parties bring, whether evidence, whether witnesses, the application will be chosen by the panel of judges. Completely, even though the leadership, the panel of judges has the right to judge," explained Mohamad Sholahudi.

Because the proof of the exception is considered incomplete, the trial has to be postponed again until next week with the same agenda.

"For the next week, yes, it is still proof of the exception because there was something possible because the panel considered that it was not right, so the proof was continued for the exception, yes," he said.

"It is postponed. Every trial if it is indeed postponed next week. But today we are suspended. Today we are suspended," he said.
