Unloading Research Methods, Kevin Julio Admits 'Curi' Characters From Indonesian Directors

JAKARTA - Actor Kevin Julio made preparations that were not kidding for his role as a director in the latest film of the Most Actor.

He bluntly admitted that he had conducted research by spying on several well-known directors in Indonesia to build his character.

Kevin revealed that he was deliberately looking for references from Indonesian directors, although he was reluctant to mention specific names.

"(Research the role of director) Yes, a lot of chat with Bang Ocay, frankly research but looking for the character of Indonesian directors, but I won't mention it. Yes, summarize (from the character of directors in Indonesia)," said Kevin Julio in the South Jakarta area, Friday, August 1.

His research method is unique. He deliberately came to several film premiere events to observe the movements and style of the directors directly.

"Before the Most Actor, he had time to go to several film premieres. Usually many directors come, I invite you, notes," said Kevin Julio.

"(Come to the premiere) 2 or 3, but there are a lot of them at the premiere," explained Kevin.

However, after exploring the world of director for his role, Kevin actually made an unexpected confession. He felt that the profession was too difficult for him to live with.

"Oh, no. It's hard to be a director, so it's just a tough player. Still a lot of studying," said Kevin.

He emphasized that he prefers to enjoy the work of the directors as spectators. For him, the responsibility of a director is very large, and the research process that must be passed is not easy.

"(I don't want to be a director because) I just like to look at the director's work, I haven't thought about being a director. The research is tough. The responsibility is very participation for sure," he said.

It is planned that the film The Most Actor will be released in Indonesian cinemas on October 30.
