Presenter Ruben Onsu has finally taken firm legal steps against social media accounts that have spread slander and bullied his family.

Through his attorney, Minola Sebayang, Ruben officially reported the owner of Vina Run's account to Polda Metro Jaya with multiple articles that carries a penalty of up to 8 years in prison.

Minola Sebayang confirmed that the report had been received and would soon be processed by the police.

"Today our report has been received. The process must go through the stage of the case title first whether there is sufficient evidence and it turns out that everything we are doing today can be accepted. It was given a recommendation by the ditsiber and then we can make a report today," said Minola Sebayang at Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, July 31.

This report was made after the account continuously posted false information containing elements of slander and bullying of minors.

"So earlier I accompanied Ruben Onsu to report the owner of Vina Run's account. We have known for the past few days that it has been posting, transmitting information that is not true, contains elements of defamation, slander, lies, bullying to minors," he continued.

Ruben's party has actually given an opportunity for the account owner to admit his mistake and apologize. However, this good faith was actually responded to by increasingly accepting actions.

"So Ruben Onsu has been given enough opportunity to the account owner to apologize, delete, gently admit his mistake. But what he did actually added to the post. So this means he feels that what he is doing is not wrong, there is no awareness," explained Minola.

Not kidding, Ruben ensnared the account with multiple articles. Starting from criminal articles of defamation and slander, to the ITE Law.

"There are 310, 311 layers of articles as regulated by the criminal law, namely defamation or slander, because there is pollution and the contents are slander," explained Minola Sebayang.

"Then we relate it to the ITE Law, yes, because the way he spreads slander and lies through social media we also marry Article 27 in conjunction with Article 45 junto Article 32," he continued.

Minola specifically highlighted the threat of a sentence of 8 years in prison that came from the article on data engineering due to Ruben's altered photo.

"That's a threat of 8 years because it relates to people who change, add, reduce data, in the photo there is a fabrication of Ruben's photo taken," explained Minola.

"And this is an act that reduces adding data and then retransmits it like what he did. This is a threat of 8 years in prison so he doesn't play games," explained again.

It does not stop there, this report is also covered with the Child Protection Act because the content is bullying minors.

"Because article 27, article 45, it's 3 years. But this is 8 years in prison. We will layer it again with the Child Protection Law article 1 in conjunction with Article 15A and then 76C in conjunction with Article 80, the threat is 3 years," he said.
