Joko Anwar Announces Ghost In The Cell Film Players, Combining Comedy Horrors

JAKARTA - Director Joko Anwar announced the actors who joined his latest film, Ghost in the Cell. This film is the third project shared by Come and See Pictures after the Extinction in Bukit Duri and Legenda Kelam Malin Kundant.

"Idenya sendiri beranggal dari aku sama Tia (Hasibuan-produser) bekerja film horor beberapa kali seperti Pengabdi Setan itu kan di apartemen. Sekekira bagaimana tempat ada hantu tapi tidak bisa kabur, apalagi jadi WNI (Warga Negara Indonesia) sudah juga kabur jadi muncul ala ide," kata Joko Anwar dalam pengumuman di Jakarta Selatan pada Jumat, 25 Juli.

The actors in the film Ghost in the Cell are Abimana Aryasatya, Bront Palarae, Danang Suryonegoro, Endy Arfian, Lukman Sardi, Mike Lucock, Yoga Pratama, Morgan Oey, Aming, Kiki Narendra, Rio Dewanto, Tora Sudiro, Almanzo Konoralma, Haydar Salishz, Arswendy Bening Swara, Dewa Dayana, Faiz Vishal, Jaisal Tanjung, Ho Yuhang, and introduced Magistus Miftah.

Several players made this film a reunion with Joko Anwar. Abimana returned to the big screen after Joko's Gundala film.

Then, Endy Arfian, Morgan Oey, Kiki Narendra and Dewa Dayana returned to work together after the film Extinction in Bukit Duri which aired in the first half. Likewise, Aming, Tora Sudiro, and Lukman Sardi were met after Quickie Express.

Among the cast, Joko Anwar also recruited his old collaborator, cinematographer Jaisal Tanjung to act as well as directors Ho Yuhang and Bront Palarae.

The name Magistus Miftah is a new name in this film. Magistus, who is a dancer and tarot reader, is one of the 700 participants who passed the audition for this film.
