Attorney Says Expert Witness From Prosecutor Profits Vadel Badjideh's Position In Trial

JAKARTA - The follow-up trial of the alleged immoral case that ensnared Vadel Badjideh was held again with the agenda of hearing the testimony of expert witnesses from the Public Prosecutor (JPU).

Oya Abdul Malik, as Vadel's attorney, stated that the information provided by the forensic expert was clear and even beneficial for his party.

According to Oya, expert witnesses have explained their findings professionally in accordance with their scientific field.

"The expert witness from the forensic expert explained what was known in accordance with his peofesinya and that was enough to explain to us," said Oya Abdul Malik at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, July 23.

Vadel Badjideh received all the information presented by the expert witness at the trial. Oya emphasized that the explanation was limited to what the expert examined.

"Yes, the information is only limited to what is known in his profession, so he explained what he checked at that time and we received all the information," explained Oya.

Furthermore, Oya stated that the contents of the expert's statement were not surprising and were still in line with the facts revealed in the previous trials.

"It's more or less connected to previous trials. This means that the information is not information that makes us dumbfounded or anything, no. The information is quite good," he continued.

Based on his observations while in the courtroom, Oya has the opinion that the testimony of forensic experts this time is a positive point that can benefit Vadel Badjideh's position as a defendant.

"Yes, in my opinion, what I saw, what I felt in the trial, what I heard from all the information, for me this is a good point for me and of course on behalf of Vadel as a defendant," he said.
