JAKARTA - Artist Tya Arestya shared her valuable experience when performing the pilgrimage with her husband, Irfan Ratinggang.

He revealed that there was one important advice from his friend, Shireen Sungkar, which significantly changed the dynamics of his household while in the Holy Land.

Tya received this advice shortly before he left. Shireen specifically reminded him to avoid debate, especially with his own partner.

"So, before leaving, I got a call from Shireen. He said this, 'Anyway, stay away from debate, whatever it is. The most likely thing is to argue with your own husband', he said. 'So whatever it is, don't argue'," said Tya Ariestya, quoted by VOI from Instagram @rumpi_ttv, Wednesday, July 23.

Tya admitted to sticking to the advice, and the result felt very different from their daily marriage life. He felt significant positive changes in his relationship with his husband.

"Well, so we hold it together and it's very different, Sis. O Allah. It's like I feel different, isn't it. Our household is different," said Tya.

He compared these conditions to their habit at home, where the two of them work together often have a tough stance and lead to debate.

"Because all this time, eh, because we work together, the heads are equally tough. So if he tells me what, input, I don't think it's like that, my version is like this. So it's like we have arguments, debates. There we are really good," he continued.

The most felt change in attitude is that the two of them become easier to accept each other's opinions without having to argue. This creates a more peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.

"(The attitude is so) just accept it. Sometimes if you like it here, it's like, 'Eh or not, this is it, this is it'. If it's done now, whatever it accepts. Later, when I say the same, my husband too, 'Oh yes'. It's really good," said Tya.

However, when asked if the good habit was carried away until he returned to Indonesia, Tya with a laugh admitted that the effect only lasted a moment.

"Take a moment (after in Indonesia)," said Tya.
