JAKARTA - In the midst of the bustle of the changing fashion world, who would have thought T-shirts or t-shirts could be a symbol of hope for social change?

Not only as part of everyday dress styles, clothing is now starting to voice important human values, including child peace and protection.

One of the movements that depicts this trend comes from the PEACE FOR ALL initiative, a global program that uses t-shirts to voice messages of peace.

Although it looks simple, this campaign has succeeded in making clothing part of a bigger conversation about empathy, community, and an inclusive future.

One concrete form of this collaboration is various anti-violence education programs and provision of sanitation in the school environment. These are fundamental things that are often neglected, but very important for the welfare of children.

According to Irma Yunita, UNIQLO Indonesia's Corporate Affairs Director, this initiative has collected a donation of IDR 4.9 billion from the sale of the PEACE FOR ALL T-shirt until mid-2024. This fund has been used to support various local programs, especially in the Sleman area, Yogyakarta.

"We believe PEACE FOR ALL is more than just a T-shirt, this is a value statement. Through this collaboration, we want to create a more peaceful world by fulfilling children's rights," said Irma, when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

In 2024, the program has reached more than 2,300 children and 3,400 adults through anti-bullying campaigns and increased sanitation in schools. The next phase will carry similar missions to Bandung by 2025 and target more than 3,600 children and adolescents.

Fadli Usman from Save the Children added that this initiative is not only about short-term assistance, but forms a stronger community foundation.

"The impact looks real, raising awareness about the importance of a peaceful atmosphere in schools, clean water, and active participation of children in maintaining their own rights. This is not just a program, but a movement that fosters a sense of ownership in society," he said.

More than 40 international collaborators, including public figures such as Ichiro and Koji Yakusho, have taken part in this T-shirt design. The latest exhibition held in Jakarta is also a reflection space on the importance of maintaining peace and how global action can start from a small step close to everyday life.

Through this approach, PEACE FOR ALL not only presents comfortable and stylish clothes, but also touches the human side which often escapes the discussion of modern lifestyles.

In line with LifeWear's philosophy, this program reminds us that clothes can be more than just an outward appearance. This program can be a form of contribution, value expression, and sound for a better future.

Behind every PEACE FOR ALL T-shirt, there is a message that peace is not just a dream, but something that can be worn, voiced, and realized together.
