JAKARTA - The 2021 Hybrid Fashion Show was successfully held today, Wednesday, May 5 in Jakarta and Yogyakarta. To be precise, at the UMY Boga Plaza, Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMY) and the Muhammadiyah Da'wah Center Building, Menteng.
Taking the 'Ecoprint Back to Nature' theme, this fashion show displays the work of a group of village women who use quality ecoprints and dyes. Ecoprint is a technique of giving patterns to materials or fabrics using natural materials.
According to the Head of the Lazismu Management Agency, Hilman Latief, there were more than 50 collections that were presented at this event. The Yogyakarta Tourism Ambassador team also participated in making product branding.
The ecoprint materials used are quality materials with an eco-friendly combination. Some of them do not use plastic buttons, natural dyes, and natural kerosene.

It is hoped that the production of fashion made from ecoprint can help village women market this product in the community. In addition, it is also hoped that it can increase enthusiasm and economy in the midst of a pandemic condition.
The manufacturing process starts from training and education which has been carried out since 2000 by Lazismu. The use of reuse and recycle is also in accordance with the rules so that the ecoprint concept can still be done.
The training was conducted in various cities in Indonesia and participated in exhibitions at the national and international levels.
"Thank you to all parties involved in this women's empowerment program. Hopefully, the results can be enjoyed by the community. Especially the participants who were accompanied by Lazismu”, said Sabeth Abilawa as the President Director of Lazismu at the event.
