JAKARTA - The 2025 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) was officially launched at Rumah Kaca Melati, Hutan Kota by Plataran, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 1. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Fadli Zon, emphasized the full support of the government in the development of the national film industry. He said the achievements of Indonesian films at various international festivals prove that the quality of Indonesian filmmakers is growing. According to him, FFI is not only an award event, but also a space for consolidating the film ecosystem to be more competitive globally.
The chairman of the FFI 2025'2026 Committee, Ario Bayu, assessed that Indonesian cinema is entering a golden period. Prilly Latuconsina said Road to FFI would continue. "Last year we toured campus, now we will be present at local film festivals. Two public figures, Sheila Dara and Ringgo Agus Rahman, were announced as Ambassadors of FFI 2025. Both are expected to be the faces of the spirit of innovation and diversity in Indonesia's cinema.
