School Holidays, Tourism Safety In East Java Park 2 Is The Main Focus

JAKARTA - Entering the mid-year school holiday period, the enthusiasm of the community for traveling is increasing. One of the favorite destinations crowded with families is East Java Park 2 in Batu City, East Java.

In addition to offering exciting entertainment, this place is also known to be educational and suitable for all ages, especially children who want to enjoy their vacation while studying.

The government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, pays special attention to the surge in tourists during the school holiday season.

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Puspa, during his visit to East Java Park 2 on Saturday, June 28, emphasized the importance of managing facilities and security for the convenience of all visitors.

"School holidays are a moment that many children and their families visit. We have reviewed various aspects, ranging from regulating the flow of visits between zones, signages, emergency gathering points, to public facilities such as toilet cleaning and the availability of health clinics," said Ni Luh as quoted by ANTARA.

Jatim Park 2 itself is known as an educational recreational park that combines entertainment elements with education. In it there are various interesting rides such as the Science Center which displays various science and technology information, as well as attractions that raise the theme of the environment, flora and fauna, as well as the history of Indonesian culture.

Visitors can also enjoy other unique rides such as Volcano and the Nusantara Gallery featuring horticultural plants, rare animals, as well as miniatures of historic temples. There are a total of more than 30 rides, including a giant swimming pool with historical figures' backdrops such as Ken Dedes and Ken Arok, as well as challenging games such as spinning toilets and drop zones.

Seeing the high interest of tourists, the management continues to innovate to improve service quality. Starting from maintaining facilities, providing holiday ticket promos, to preparing attractive tour packages so that visitors get the best experience.

"We have prepared everything. Those who come are not only from East Java, but also from outside the region and even abroad. East Java Park 2 can be the main choice for educational and recreative tourism destinations that are safe and fun," added Ni Luh.

He also appealed to the public to take advantage of this holiday wisely, while still paying attention to safety aspects.

"This school holiday is the right time to build family togetherness. Make sure safety and comfort remain a priority, so that holidays bring a positive and meaningful impression," he said.

Meanwhile, Titik Ariyanto as Marketing & Public Relations Manager of East Java Park Group revealed that during the school holidays, there was a significant increase in the number of visitors.

"Usually, on weekends, visits can reach 2,000 to 3,000 people. However, in the long weekend period like now, this number can increase to 4,000 visitors per day. We also do not increase ticket prices during holidays so that they remain affordable, plus various attractive promos," said point.

As an anticipatory measure, the Ministry of Tourism has also issued a Special Circular for School Holidays 2025. This letter is addressed to local governments, tourism business actors, and related associations, as well as 23 risk mitigation guidance modules to support safe and comfortable tourism operations throughout the June 2025 holiday.
